Manufacturing at ARS
From carefully selected steel to precision heat treatment, grinding and ergonomic design, ARS technology is built to deliver cutting tools with lasting sharpness, strength and reliability.
OUR 5 COMMITMENTS
ARS develops cutting tools with five priorities: steel selection, heat treatment, precision grinding, ergonomic design and cutting performance. These commitments support sharpness, durability and ease of use.
1. Steel materials
A Sharp Edge Starts with Quality Steel
Working closely with steel manufacturers, ARS develops and selects high-quality steel suited to its cutting tools. Our steel must meet not only Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), but also ARS's own stringent quality requirements.
2. Heat Treatment
Hardness and Toughness: The Key to Blade Performance
ARS developed its own heat treatment system in collaboration with a furnace manufacturer. By translating the expertise of experienced craftsmen into measurable parameters, ARS has automated the heat treatment process to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
3. Grinding
Precision grinding supported by craftsmanship and our own equipment.
ARS develops its own grinding equipment and production methods. By translating skilled techniques into measurable processes, we reproduce precise cutting-edge geometry in production.
4. Design
Designed for comfortable handling, practical use and durability.
ARS considers grip shape, ease of operation and durability when designing its cutting tools. These details help users handle the tools comfortably and maintain control while cutting.
5. Cutting performance
Bringing sharpness and ease of use together.
Steel selection, heat treatment, grinding and design each contribute to cutting performance. ARS brings these elements together to create tools that combine sharpness, durability and ease of use.
